About Us

All right, it sure makes better dockside conversation to complain about the service, or lack thereof, that we don't get from bass boat dealers. ....They sold me the boat and now they don't care. ..Their service is terrible...they make me wait forever to get my boat back...they overcharge me...they don't fix what was supposed to be fixed in the first place...We could go on, but I am sure that you get the point.

Well, I have no complaints about my boat dealer. Wait a minute, before you start thinking, here goes Steve plugging one of his sponsors, just to get credit for steering business their way. Let me begin by telling you that I have no boat sponsor and am loyal to no one financially or otherwise for my boat...period.

With that said, I really want to recognize my boat dealer...mine in the sense that they sold me a boat for a fair price, I don't want to say I got a great deal as that might compromise my negotiating position for my next purchase, and everything that has happened since then has been great! Setting aside any specific manufacturing shortfalls, I have been extremely happy with Anglers Choice. They never make excuses...NEVER! When I need a part, I call, toll free, and the parts, the right parts, are there in a day or two, most of the time, the very next day. What do I pay for this service? The prices on all of the parts I have purchased from Damon Hill, the parts manager, have been very competiive...in other words, I could not find them cheaper anywhere, so now I don't look anywhere else.

Now for the service department. First of all, the guy who runs the department, Larry Moore, can fix anything! He is a fisherman, and he completely understands what it is like to not have your boat, whether you fish for fun or money. He will also help you in any way with advice or information...I will not buy my next boat without consulting with Larry first. Larry has completed repairs on my boat under warranty, and items not covered by warranty any time of the year. He has never said, we are too busy "this time of the year" or that he is short a mechanic, or the parts never came in...no excuses.

I do pay a fee to have someone pick up my boat when it needs servicing. Here again, whoever picks up my boat, I never have had the pleasure of being there to greet them, takes care of my boat as if it was his own! When returned, it is in the exact position it was when picked up, including the cover strapped down.

Is this a real bass boat dealership, or am I just wishing there was such a dealer in existence? It is real...you can't go to any show, fish any tournament, or enter a charity event without seeing Angler's Choice present and involved.

Any manufacturer should be proud and blessed to have owners of Angler's Choice Sandy and Bill representing their company! Sandy and Bill both know that I don't "suck up" and that I would rather avoid being too nice, as that would weaken my position in future negotiations. But, I have to hand it to them that they have a complete operation!

Do I recommend that you buy your next boat from Angler's Choice. Let me put it this way. You should check with them before you buy any boat. You should check out any boat dealers for references from satisfied or unsatisfied customers, you should find out all you can about the parts and service managers. Do your homework. Boats break down. They need some maintenance. Check out the back end of the business before you buy! Expect the best after sale service and get it!

Will I buy my next boat from Angler's Choice? If I say yes, there goes my negotiating edge. You figure it out.
