PUNISHMENT

Catching a big bass on the Potomac is always a possibility...if you continue to cast. I have been using Punisher jigs for the past 4 years. In cold water, there is none better. Punisher Jigs come with sharp hooks a dual wire weed guard, super colors...add their plastic chunks and loud metal rattles and you have the makings of the best finesse jig anywhere. Not to mention the hand-tied "hair". This hair breathes and comes to life...just add water. For sluggish cold water bass, just let this bait sit, shaking occasionally and wait for the bite.

In cold water, the bite feels like a bit of weight...in the summer, fish will suck in this bait. I use light line, Vanish Flourocarbon...6-10 pound test. The lighter 1/8-ounce jigs are perfect for the slower winter presentation, the 1/4-ounce Punisher will entice the reaction strike.

This fish was caught in 12 feet of water on 3/3/04 in Smoot Bay. The water temperature was 45 degrees. The 1/4-ounce black/blue Punisher jig with blue Punisher chunk and rattle was soaked in Jack's Juice garlic attractant.

This fish was weighed, photographed and released.
