Fall Fishing Days at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World-Baltimore, Sept. 22-23 CastingKids Qualifier and State Championships Hanover, MD - As the weather and the water temperature begins to cool, Maryland’s fishing opportunities begin to sizzle... Join both freshwater and saltwater experts at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World-Baltimore for Fall Fishing Days, Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23. This event coincides with National Hunting & Fishing Day, celebrated with many events across the country by hunters and anglers. - Charter Captains Tom Hughes and Chuck Fisher cover the Chesapeake Bay from top to bottom. An Endorsed Orvis Guide, Captain Hughes will address fly fishing and light tackle stripers on Saturday and GPS tips on Sunday. Captain Fisher covers fall striper tips for the Chesapeake and live-eeling for Bay Bridge Tunnel stripers. - Ralph King, creator of Junebug Tackle, will speak about fall lure selection and tackle rigging for the Chesapeake. Even veteran anglers will enjoy these tactics. - Glenn Briggs, our Bass Pro Shops and Nitro Field Staff Pro will demonstrate how to catch more and bigger bass using Bass Pro Shops tackle and XPS lures. - Capt. Steve Chaconas ofNationalBass.com and BoatUS.com addresses light line techniques for finicky tidal river bass (Saturday only). - Jim Gronaw, back by popular demand, will speak about shore fishing for landlocked striped bass and farm pond bass. - Tim Hagan, of Tim Hagan Outdoors, a top catfish guide, talks about monster catfish on the Potomac. - Jerry Sauter, Bass Pro Shops reservoir specialist will explain the fall patterns on the metro reservoirs. - On Sunday, Larry Coburn of the White River Fly Shop discusses fall fly fishing on Maryland trout streams. …And for the Kids The Maryland BASS Federation Nation will conduct a qualifying CastingKids competition on Saturday (9/22) and the State CastingKids Championship on Sunday (9/23) for all the winners from competitions throughout the year.
