This no-wake/6mph zone went into affect late fall 2010. The zone was marked by buoys along the black line in this photo. Attempting to navigate to the left of this zone could be dangerous! This is a shallow sandbar/spoils flat with submerged obstructions.

National Harbor is moving the NO-WAKE buoys about 50 yards toward the shore...please navigate carefully through this area!

Also, there is a NO-WAKE/6MPH zone in the dredged construction channel just below and adjacent to the Wilson Bridge.
